There's just so many great fast casual places and restaurants. It's lame just buying lunchmeat and eating sandwiches every day.

I'm quite jealous. I should be spending closer to this but I find I tend to eat a lot :p

I should clarify then that I have spent that much lately, the past 2 weeks or so. Before that, I was spending $10-15.

I completely stopped eating out and I cook and meal prep all my meals. I dont spend that much on food anymore because usually all I have to buy is meat and produce. Everything else I buy in bulk.

This is the way to go. Internet for when you run out of recipe ideas.

I try to eat a lot of fruit so just that is like 30-40$ a week. I get 140$ in foodstamps and those last like the first 2 or 2 and a half weeks.

it's closer to about 4$ a day with drink.

some days i may spend 4-5$ for a fast food meal (about 3 burrito's) from taco bell. 2 fills me up and the 3rd one is for the morning.

living on rice, frozen broccoli, and beans, 50/week is very viable

heck you can get boneless skinless chicken breasts for $3/lb still, so you can actually have a pretty quality diet on such a low budget. if you cook every meal.
