Don't know.

Since a tiger is a cat they are natural hunters and killers.

But a full grown bear can be huge.

From a fast search, standing they can reach around 8ft tall and weigh 1,800 pounds.

This. Tiger vs black bear (i.e. one of the smaller species), tiger probably takes that fight. Tiger vs grizzly, that's trickier. If the tiger ambushed the bear it would have a better chance regardless.

Tiger wins against all small/medium species of bears (they actually prey on them in Siberia). Tiger loses against bigger species like the grizzly and polar.

The tiger is the most powerful cat.

"Generally, males vary in total length from 250 to 390 cm (8.2 to 12.8 ft) and weigh between 90 to 306 kg (198 to 675 lb)" (source: wikipedia)

A 12 ft. long cat weighting 675 lbs?! Few people realize just how powerful tigers are. They're lean as heck, whereas bears can be chubby (but still amazingly muscular, of course). Now add razor sharp claws on the 4 legs and 2 pairs of knife-sharp fangs on top of it and a killer instinct to match.

Felines have reaction speeds that few animals can match. Heck, a hungry tigers have hunted elephants (!!!) in extreme times.

A large bear is a lot bigger than a large tiger, in some cases massively so. People are really overplaying any speed advantage the tiger has here, it isn't like bears are slow or anything. Bears take it easily imo

"Tigers generally do not prey on fully grown adult Asian elephants and Indian rhinoceros but incidents have been reported.[106][107] More often, it is the more vulnerable small calves that are taken.[108] Tigers have been reported attacking and killing elephants ridden by humans during tiger hunts in the 19th century"

Yeah... a sumo fighter may be heavier than a heavyweight MMA fighter, but my money would be in the latter.

That's not a good comparison. Like I said, bears aren't slow. A grizzly can run 50 yards in 3 seconds. A better comparison would be something like Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Lee

Doubt it, but this is a fight not a hunt. If a tiger doesn't get the jump on either of those animals it gets figuratively and literally stomped.

"When hunting larger animals, tigers prefer to bite the throat and use their powerful forelimbs to hold onto the prey, often simultaneously wrestling it to the ground. The tiger remains latched onto the neck until its target dies of strangulation.[66] By this method, gaurs and water buffaloes weighing over a ton have been killed by tigers weighing about a sixth as much."

Sure, but buffaloes are stupid, bears have thick fat and fur which makes them harder to grab, and going for a bear's throat puts you right into clawing range.

This. Anyone with a cat like a Bengal or Savannah will have an idea of how strong wild cats are...and those are tiny

Tigers are good hunters, too. I'd still lean towards the bear but I'm sure it wouldn't walk away scott free

Tigers are big, btw. I did a big cat rescue thing a few years ago and they were huge and scary af.

Only seen black bears and they're little babies who steal your crackers and run away when you fart.

Yeah. A wild cat (sort of like a bobcat or lynx) that's much smaller than a dog will still own a much bigger dog. A 675 lb cat.... wow.
