It's not an overreaction. If anything, most people are underreacting. For many, it's confirmation that you will never see this country change for the better in your lifetime. It's confirmation that this country will backslide to 1950 until you die, at which point the next couple generations will slowly work their way up until this point we find ourselves at in 2018.

Not that Kavanaugh really has anything to do with it. If they don't confirm him for being a rapist they just pick some other conservative to do it. Still, it's hardly an overreaction. It's literally the end of hope that anything you believe in will ever come to pass. It's the end of everything. It's the end of America for an entire generation (or three).
