They're not a protected species. You can't just kill as many as you want Yeah but the larger issue here is that bears have a pretty limited habitat and its constantly being destroyed in America. I'm really not saying it's a "simple" fix. But I really don't feel like hunting bears will help the problem at all. I mean you'll just end up with the most dangerous bears that have survived being hunted raiding homes. I don't see how that's better. As a hunter (or outdoorsman in general) it makes me sick when I see a the constant teardown of our forests or land in general. It even happened to me a few years ago. A company came in and took out acres of trees from the land I hunt for the wood, and I'm just left with nothing. That being said hunting of these bears (or any legal animal) shouldn't be taken off the table either.
