For example, if you're from a poor rural area, having more kids might actually be a benefit as they can help with the farm work and also take care you as your physical abilities decline as you age. Another example, knowledge of, ability and willingness to get/use birth control is lower. It's really that having higher intelligence often allows a person greater control over their instincts and treating sex with less URGENCY. The smarter a person is the more likely there are to approach sex in moderation, not as a dangling carrot to be chased every time it appears. Smarter people are: -less likely to jump at every single opportunity to hook up just for the sake of getting laid. -less likely to get obsessed about virginity. -less likely to look at sex as a score number (including the number 0). That does not mean that a lower libido is standard for all people of above average intelligence. Some of the world's greatest minds in history were still horn dogs when favorable opportunities arrived.
