I like the sound of it but even if it did pass I see plenty of ways the megacorps would circumvent this and continue to loot and pillage the US

Honestly . . . can we just have rational, mundane, left of the aisle policies?

Stop allowing the merging of these massive hundred billion dollar corporations.
Break up "too big to fail".
Fund regulators, indict actual criminals, etc
Reaffirm consumer protections.

Just some basic bitch shit to get us back on the right course?

This really underestimates how unpopular Hillary was and how poorly she campaigned.

Yeah its real funny how people think Warren is some sort of socialist when shes a capitalist against mega corporations and banks consolidating power to screw over workers and consumers. Which really seems like it should be what the Democrats strive for.

I mean, I agree as well. If businesses want to be treated as people then they have a moral obligation to act as half decent people. You cant have it both ways.

Wouldn't all that money just end up right back into the hands of the rich? We'd all go out and buy stuff and then bam it's right back in the hands of the business owners.

Seems like a tactical error for Democrats - a progressive one at that - to accept the framing that they are people, though.

Elizabeth Warren tries to work within he established rules
Bernie Sanders tries to change the rules

Theyd be a great 1-2 punch if their supporters werent constantly being assholes to each other.

Mostly because it'd be unconstitutional.

Yeah, I give her credit for a solution within the system rather than radical changes. I dont think its a progressive thing. I work with republicans and once Citizens United was explained to them they hate it too.

Would that even be a bad thing? The stock market right now is the second most overvalued relative to earnings than it's ever been in history. The first was the dot com bubble, and the pre depression is a very close third. It should not be as expensive to buy shares as it is right now.

It's a little more clear than left or right.

If you're a politician, you probably like Citizens United. If you're a common person, you probably hate it.
