If you're playing slots not much unless you play. Tables games here, you best be prepared to throw down a lot of money. Unless you hit up older hotels that have cheaper buy ins. I'd say 2 or 3 grand

My usual is a 3 day weekend with $2000 just for gambling.

What games are yo familiar with?

My favs are black jack and roulette plus fun looking slot machines.

I've started to play craps. When everyone's betting the pass line, it's some of the most fun I've had in a casino. My first time I turned $100 into $290.

As for Blackjack, the nicer the casino was for me in Vegas, the worse I did at the blackjack tables. Did awful at Rio, Luxor, etc. but for some reason cleaned house at Circus Circus.

How much are you willing to spend on gambling? Think of that number and double it. That's your real number

First off a week is a long time in Vegas. I never go for more than two or three nights max. There's some stuff to see and things to do but nothing that would take a week straight.

If you're gonna be partying the day drinking and lack of sleep eventually take its toll and shit is expensive.

That said if you want to go for a week depending on how early you book what time of year but I would budget probably 150-200 a night for a meh hotel on the strip.

For food id say 50 a day is good. Get you one nice meal and then just sort of fill up on whatever else.

Gambling you said a couple hundred. Be prepared to lose that day one. If you stay on the strip and it's the weekend you're gonna have a hard time finding tables under 25 a hand. Hooters runs cheap tables just barely off the strip.

I like black jack and craps so those would be my suggestion but everyone is different. If you've never gambled I'd look into black jack, craps and roulette and try my hand at all of them.

What else do you want to do while out there? Gonna go clubbing? Just hit bars? Pool parties? Shoot guns? Go shopping? A week is a lot of time to fill up.

If you want the best odds black jack and craps both get you to like 49.5%

That said roulette can be fun betting numbers even if it's not the best odds.

Forget gambling; see the shows

If it's your first time in Vegas maybe stay a little longer than a weekend but even for people that love to gamble the strip does get a little old after a few days.

I go a few times a year and play poker. When I go out in the summer I stay for a week because of the WSOP and by the end of the week I just want to leave and always say I won't stay on the strip next time but do it anyway.

Vegas is one of those places where it really can be as expensive as you want. The more money you are willing to spend/gamble the more fun you can potentially have. Budget an amount for each day that you are ok losing and just stick to that. If you win great, if not you were ok with losing/spending it.

Treat yourself to an awesome meal at least once too. The food is great. When looking for hotels a good location is worth the extra money. Don't stay at the cheapest, you will hate it.

you go to Reno to gamble, not Vegas. Just spend like a half hour on the cheap slots so you can get a few free drinks then dip.

I stayed with my aunt and uncle in Vegas for a month a couple years ago. Before I went I played alot of fallout new Vegas. My uncle took me around the Mojave not knowing he was giving me a real life new tour of a video game. It was awesome.

See? I don't have much life experience... I basically just work and tend to my family, as I have kinda taken over my dad's role as he died two years ago now.
