He's hilarious. If you ever want to watch the highlights of his rage in his playthroughts just youtube "How not to play ____" and insert the name of the game you want to watch him play. I recommend Dark Souls and Last of Us

He likes to say that his reputation is the result of the videos people make about him, which only highlight his negative aspects, and that people should watch him stream to see what he's really like. Since I've started to peak in on the occasional live stream, my opinion of him has actually gotten a lot worse. At least with the detractor videos you can try to believe that they're only showing the very worst of him. But when you watch him live, you realize that he's an awful person all the time.

Actually, animators are making a comback now because youtube changed their algorithm. The smart thing youtube finally did was not make public at how their algorithm works. I remember watching a video of a guy who made a theory that the algorithm has changed where if a channel has past videos that are being watched on a higher basis, that channel will get featured more which is what animation channels have over let's plays and vlogs.

I like how he keeps saying that he didn't tell people to click on his ads, and then the videos cut to him saying to do just that. Then he says that he never got into trouble for that, then the video shows the video of him telling his fans that he is "unemployed" again because of click fraud (whatever it's called)

And he clearly has this other adsense thing that he "can't use for reasons he can't tell us" because it's under Panda Lee's name when she had her soap business, so he's breaking the law as well.

And yeah, if you watch is steams, he's an even worse person than what those kind of videos paint him out to be. DSP is scum. I really want to see a video of someone calling him out on this shit in public with a camera pointed on him

I always laugh when he or his white knights say this. Look up his friend request ridicule videos from like 2009, way before the "this is how you dont play" stuff took off. He shits on legitimate fans of his, people that took the time to send him praise and compliments. He was a bag of shit even back then.

Arin is a nice guy and he's funny. the appeal isn't in wanting Arin to be good. he's just a funny guy so we don't care if he sucks or is good. and sometimes he is good. he beat Dark Souls 3 which I can't do

Phil is an ass. he is just a jerk of a human. and he always makes dumb excuses and never can just admit he sucks at a game. I wouldn't hate him if he just sucked but didn't excuse it. it's not him sucking that makes me hate him it's his stupid denial of it

Yeah, he's definitely always been a terrible person. But at least early on he seemed to have a genuine passion for some of the games he played and he wasn't constantly begging. I can kind of understand someone being a fan of his back in the day. But nowadays he is just as toxic, maybe even worse, and he seems to hate playing games and can't go any length of time without mentioning money and his bills. How anyone can enjoy him unironically is just baffling.

So he loses to the final boss several times while bitching about the gameplay, the unfairness of hard mode, and basically everything else. He's pissed off when stream chat tells him how many bullets it takes to kill the boss. He's bored and would rather be doing something else, and he won't be playing things on hard mode again. Stream chat tells him you get an auto win if you enter the fight with no ammo and just run around for a while. So we get to watch him fire his guns for five minutes or so until he's out of ammo. Then he runs around and bitches about how boring this is, stops playing to ban someone in stream chat, and eventually decides the strategy doesn't work and dies fighting the boss with melee weapons.
