After 23 years, it's so odd to see 000000 as the high score in Super Mario Bros. again. It almost makes me not want to play the game so as not to ruin the "mint condition" quality of that score.

I decided to switch over to NES so as not to mess up the score on SNES. I never noticed it before, but the NES version has two catch screens and the All*Stars version only has one.
In one catch screen, Mario runs into a goomba and dies after successfully clearing the first few pipes. In the other, he grabs a mushroom, then stops after clearing the first pipe. The All*Stars version only has the catch screen in which Mario dies. ... Copied to Clipboard!
