Delivery charges go back to the company. They don't go into the drivers pocket ever for most companies. It's fucked up.

Where I worked, most of it went to the driver. We just all lied to customers so that they would still tip and not be all "welp, the charge is the tip" and that was only when they knew there was a delivery charge. In most cases, they'd question the price and we'd just say "this is the price with tax" and pretended the delivery charge didn't exist.

It goes towards insurance costs for the store and possibly gas reimbursement if they do that.
