A refreshing and familiar throwback to days gone by.

I don't think it should be marketed as a children's movie however, as there are a few scenes that make me think that the PG rating wasn't quite right, such as the scene where Mr Incredible calls a coloured gentleman the N-word, and then went on a 15 minute, explosive and explicit rant on how black people contribute the most to gun violence statistics in the United States. Yeah, not sure what the director was thinking.

Another odd scene was in the final battle between the Incredible family and the Underminer. The Underminer knocks over an embassy of a middle eastern country, and turns to screen and roars 'SYRIA IS ISREAL' , which was a little off, but only made stranger by the fact that he repeated it for 13 and a half minutes. Guess they just ran out of lines idk.

Speaking of running out of lines, the scene where Mr Incredible lynches Frozone didn't need to last 20 minutes. It was pretty graphic as well.

Overall, it was enjoyable, 7/10

I just saw Incredibles 2 and it was quite the ride and definitely up to par with the first.

Although I must say, some of the adult jokes were pretty crude. I found it off putting when elastic girl gave Mr Incredible a foot job while they were sitting 20ft away on the opposite ends of a table in a meeting. It also didnt sit well with me how the Incredibles got off scot free meanwhile Mr Freeze was gunned down while he was already restrained. I mean I know superheroes were illegal at the time but sheesh.

The incest scene between violet and dash was just plain unnecessary, it did showcase dashs speed and agility but it just didint fit the PG rating. I must say the ending sure was a twist but I really couldnt except anyone to guess that the true villains all along was the entire black race.
