The article says that was the only city that even bid for them, and that vote was 6/5 in favor. I wonder why.

I suppose it might be because Trump attracts quite a bit of hate and the security around the convention will probably be enormously expensive with all the riots out about.

Who's pays for the security anyway, the city? The state? The party doing the convention?
