I'm having to get my back left window's motor replaced. The dealer said the part would be $135 from them. The repair shop said the same thing. This is the exact part.

Drivers Rear Power Window Lift Regulator with Motor Assembly Replacement for Mitsubishi MR599949

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CV5KF3I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_YEIuBbFYH0Y4C

The part number is identical. Is there a reason this would be so much cheaper than what either of them told me? I know nothing of this world.

Mostly because dealers are using OEM parts, not after-market like you'd get from Amazon. The repair shop might be using OEM parts as well, but they have leeway for after-market parts unlike dealer techs.

Just be happy it's a Mitsubishi.

I used to have a Cadillac CTS, and the window motor cost $500 on its own.

Is there a significant difference in quality there?

Repair shops make money by marking up parts. Not to mention they usually buy them from a local store which also marks up the item to make money. They also might give you a warranty where amazon usually wont.

You can buy the part and pay them to install it tho, but no warranty that way.

Considering they're all made in China, not really. The only difference is engineering and warranty.
