27 y/o Kimberley Bermudez, a talkative Chicago Teacher as shocked when Strangers on a Plane she was on gave her $500 smackers for her POOR Immigrant Students after she talked about them on a Southwest Flight!!

She was on a flight to Florida to visit her parents when a man next to her asked what she did for a living. She said "I began telling him how much i love my job. Teaching is my passion. When he asked me the greatest challenge that i face i was honest with him. I told him that working at a low income school can be heartbreaking."

She works at Carlos Fuentes Elementary, a charter school that serves a large immigrant population where parents struggle to provide for their kids...

He said he offered to take her information in hopes his company can donate something to her school but then a man behind her apologizes for EASE dropping and then offered her 500 smackers telling her to do something amazing for her kids!!

Kimberley said "I was in complete awe that i had touched a stranger. I realized that there was a $100 on top and started to cry. I thanked him and told him how i would buy my students books and give back to the community. I didn't count the money from the man but i would later find out he gave me $500"

When the plane landed, anothe rman seated close to them chimed in and gave her $20 as well as he didn't have much and another man in front of her gave her $10.

She started thanking them and sobbed but said she wasn't telling her story to solicity money and never intended to walk out with anythin gother than her carry on.

She got $530 in total as she said her generation didn't carry any cash and never expected complete strangers to have that much cash on them.

She's going to buy books for her kids to take home and read as they complain they don't have enough to read at home.

She's thankful for good people in this world and that no child should ever go without anything and her experience made her want to do more for kids and use the gift of speaking to help others.

I only carry cash when I know I'm going to need some (haircuts, convention vendor rooms, farmer's markets, etc.) and I am 30 y/o so I can vouch for this. It shocks me when someone carries more than $40 in cash unless they're attending some event.

I only carry cash when I know I'm going to need some (haircuts, convention vendor rooms, farmer's markets, etc.) and I am 30 y/o so I can vouch for this. It shocks me when someone carries more than $40 in cash unless they're attending some event.

If I'm flying, I usually carry $1,000~ cash. Don't want to be far away and have some potential issue with a card.
