Like GTA 4 and episodes. I enjoyed them immensly. I do think going back to the more wacky feel of the old games was the right choice in spoofing modern day California. But do you think R* should/would do another gritty and bleak GTA game?

I liked GTA4 even with its flaws. I think it has better characters, setting, and atmosphere over V. I really think if it was less monotonous and had more things to do it would be praised a lot more. Still, it can't be totally gritty. We need some fun too. A nice mix would be best. I wish they'd bring things down to earth a bit more and have the main character(s) work for various gangs or trying to take over the area instead of being secret agents. You can still have that and flamethrowers and other hi jinks.

I do want the next game to be an HD game set in 1980s VC. That said you can still make it gritty and a dark story, just also with neon signs, big hair, pastel suites, and wood paneling.

Yes and No

I wouldn't mind the story being gritty and down to earth if they still let you have fun outside of it. And if the missions were not repetitive.

In all honesty, this would be the perfect offset to what GTA Online has become with it's goofy, over the top shit.

But if it was just straight up GTA IV again? Fuck no. Shit got boring after the first playthrough.
