I finally caught up this week. Completely forgot this show existed after the 30th episode (too much weed and it not being very interesting at the time). Still need to watch ep 65. Chunin exams were really disappointing compared to the OG series but still had some decent action I guess.

yea, I wasn't as keen on the chuunin exams Boruto as I was for Naruto. and it wasn't just the action, but that it felt super rushed. Boruto's cheating was also frustrating.

I don't see why they needed a villain this powerful this early. A low-key exploration of the ninja world following the devastation of the 4th ninja war could have been great. Especially through the eyes of Sarada and Boruto.

Instead we got unlimited angst, daddy issues #2981309809, and SUPAH POWERFUL DBZ shit. The end game of Shippuden sucked. The naruto series was always at it's best at it's gritty, bloody low power end. Sure that battle was cool and well done, but it doesn't give me hope for the rest of the series oranguru.

Yeah there's no where left to go except even more shark jumping. I would've loved it if they kept sanin and kage level from part 1 as the pinnacle. Instead kage are fodder level at this point.

Just watched the movie version of the fight for the first time. The anime version was definitely superior. Naruto and Sauske's double team was insanely well made in the name.
