I'm actually on board with you. A cameo would be a scene or two. He was a semi-main character in that movie.

I don't know if I'd consider it a cameo. I generally think of those as being when someone shows up briefly in a single scene, but he played a character that showed up throughout

It was pretty impressive character acting too
