Sometimes people give themselves to others more than themselves but often in the end that ends badly as people will take advantage of it. I actually used to be like that, I had lots of therapy before I kinda got over that and now have a lot more healthy of a balance. I guess if most people were good it wouldn't matter if someone was too invested in others as people wouldn't abuse it.
