For instance why is this 450:

but this is 290

https://tinyurl.com/y99jvylp

When both are:
- 4k HD
- 50 inches
- Smart TVs (although I'm sure that's standard)
- have 3 HDMI ports

What's the main differences here? There seems to be a lot of variants about what "HD" actually means. I notice the hz refresh rate is widely different also, what difference does that make?

ElectriQ is a nothing brand. If you want to really compare you need to see them in person. If you want to cut to the chase, for 2018, Sony and LG are basically top of the line.

Basically you want to get a tv that's got HDR10. It's the top spec and gives the best quality picture. A non HDR or HDR8 or lower 4K tv will still look pretty good, but with the prices drops 4K HDR10 has seen the past year, it's like buying a 720p tv when you could get a good model 1080p for not much more 5 years ago.

HD is 720p or higher. It's meaningless term these days since every TV is HD. You want UHD or what some people call 4K.

Right, this is adding up.

So:

HDR > HD

HDR10 > HDR8

Sony > ElectricQ

What about the 1100 Hz Picture quality? The cheaper one says Refresh rate: 60 Hz. What's all dis about then
