I had to read it about 3 times to fully get it. You'll constantly be flipping back and forth between the text and the index, glossary, and map. There's just so many names, places, things, gods, animals, weapons, and people to remember. The kinda archaic way it's presented and it's general vagueness about things doesn't help either. LinksLiege 07/15/18 1:19:53 PM #10:	I was hoping for books that are challenging more in the sense that they tackle uncomfortable/jarring subjects. Still looks like an interesting list. (Praising a buzzfeed page - never thought I'd see myself doing that.) I've read The Silmarilion already and I somewhat question its inclusion here. The only really difficult part is needing to keep of all the fucking names you end up reading. Like - you would need to actually plot out family trees to keep it all neat. But you could also do what I did, which is to not try memorizing all of them and just use the abundant context clues to remember who everyone is. --- This is LinksLiege's signature. From what I knew of it, I thought it could be difficult to get into. But I ended up loving it, and I completed the book in about a week. Demigods end up on their own planet doing their thing, then they fuck off to their own special island, and someone plants some trees, and they're so pretty that people get obsessed over it and they make rings, and then people fight over the rings.
