Yes. I had male teachers in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grade. Boys look up to men. They can make amazing teachers.

As a teacher myself, this idea that any particular gender does a better job as a teacher is repugnant.
The ONLY time I would ever advocate for a specific gender for any class is maybe Gym when you split genders for the class, more because if there is an issue in change rooms, it is less an issue. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Way back I taught kindergarten for a year. No one ever gave me any trouble about being male. One of the other kindergarten teachers at the school looked like Kimbo Slice, so that definitely helped a lot.
