What are your experiences with it? Im new to it, so i think Im going to have to keep making my profile better and better if I want great responses any attention from women thats evident to me now

But Ill put my thoughts in hold, what do you guys/girls (if there are any on this site) think about online dating apps and what they can do

It's fine if you're using it to meet people in your area. An online relationship that begins as long distance is a colossal waste of time.

It's a scam. Seriously online dating has been developed as social engineering to make people more lonely and less able to find anyone and make society more and more shallow, while also making big bucks for the MATCH.com company.

keep your expectations in check. if you're not a 9/10 don't expect to get a 9/10 woman on there. if you're just an average dude, like a 6-7/10, your easiest matches are going to come from 4/10 women who are "a little on the heavy side." you could still get a hotter woman but you're gonna have to get lucky and play your cards right. it can be a slow process too so i wouldn't expect to get laid on the first week.

that's just my experience when i had an online dating account, and experiences will vary.

Personally? It is very, very unlikely that I would start a conversation irl or through an app with a girl so it really doesn't make much of a difference to me. I guess I prefer irl because while you can't read what they like, it's much easier to tell if they are attractive or whatever. Plus, through a dating app, the assumption is that you want a date or sex unless stated otherwise. I would just panic and not respond if anyone messaged me.

I prefer to know someone first before moving anywhere past that which seems easier irl through a group of friends or something. I guess on here too since it's easier being anonymous and that ends up working for some people.

If you use online dating apps long enough in hopes of finding a committed relationship, you're going to eventually discover that the real keepers have already been jumping ship for some time...both men and women. Many are looking elsewhere.

Online dating should never have been considered a reliable standard for finding commitment no matter what certain marketing campaigns try to push. It's predominately great for hook ups. Trying to consistently use the apps for both is shaky ground at best. Some can manage it; the majority can not.

If you can't figure out what better alternatives there are for seeking modern relationships, congratulations. App marketing and it's influenced social trends have succeeded in leading you so far away from the water hole, you're having trouble finding your way back...which is exactly how the marketers want it. They want you to think your love life depends on their services so you're less likely to find other options. They really love impressionable teens coming straight out of high school and treat using a dating app as a standard for escaping loneliness...

Dating apps can work, but they should never be your only or primary means of finding a life partner. The convenience should not convince you they are an essential. Apps were not necessary decades before.

I've been doing online dating for close to 3 years and have never got a date. No one messages me first, and no one messages me back. The only time I found a date online was on Criag's List, and no, not a hooker. She was a legit girl, but we didn't hit it off

I've met plenty of people through it. Exactly zero of them were serious so it's a real bad place to look if you want something serious. It's been fun overall.

If you're not physically attractive in some way you may as well not waste your time though. If a woman there is a 5, she expects an 8. If she's a 6, she's out for 9's and 10's
