I've found that overthinking things have won me games of mafia before. Of course, that was a game where scum had a confirmable role that scum had never had before, but I digress.

What we *don't* want to do is give into paranoia. You start letting paranoia take over instead of logical thinking, and that's when Mafia doesn't become as fun. I'd rather lose and have fun than win and not have fun. I guess I'm weird that way. (Though I still always play to win)

So let's take off our tinfoil hats and look at everything logically.

Corrik:
Corrik got Mzero lynched. Sure, it's possible he was bussing his buddy. But why at that point? He came into that day READY to ream Mzero before he had time to read much of anything anyone said, let alone react to it and come up with a plan for the day. He'd have to have planned to bus his buddy the night before, figuring Town wouldn't buy it. And Mzero would have reacted smarter to his scumbuddy bussing him, I think. (Of course I guess it's possible Corrik told him to claim 3 watches to get him lynched and then disappear, but then we're veering back into the territory of paranoia). But that seemed more like Mzero doing his own thing tbh. Maybe he faked a scan. Maybe he didn't. That's... actually pretty much Town Corrik in a nutshell. I mean I could see him faking it as scum. But giving us a third scum in a row? That's unnecessary at that point I think. Even to get us to buy him. (And Chris was buying him anyway)

Shad:
We don't have much to go on with Shad. He's a new dad, busy with his kid. I wish him all the luck in the world. He should've been replaced a while back, but this game had a lot of replaces, and nobody left to replace in. He claimed paralyzed Day 2, and claimed Jinjo at the beginning. That's really all we have to go on.

Neither of these really SCREAM scum, yet here we are. By process of elimination, and the fact nobody has scum hammered yet... one of them must be scum. What makes Corrik scum exactly, outside of some paranoia that he's had some master plan all along. ? Pretty much everyone has said they read him as town. Maybe everyone's wrong. But what'd we miss? Pxl wasn't up for a Corrik Lynch. Chris wasn't. I've read him as town, and I know Panthera has too. I mean I know I've let my paranoia get a hold of me a little yesterday. It's mafia. Paranoia is natural.

I know I'll probably regret this if he turns out to be scum, but I honestly don't see it with my tinfoil hat off. If someone can show me logically how Corrik is scum... then by all means. But I don't see it right now. (And I suspected him heavily early in the game)

The only thing about that Mzero idea is if I told him to do that then why didn't I also catch his inconsistency to give myself more of a townish look there. Instead you caught it.

Well like I said, that's veering back into the land of paranoia. It'd make a lot more sense if you were both scum to just see who town believed more naturally. That way whoever was less suspicious would survive. So I think that Mzero conversation was a natural screwup by him. (And I'd really hate to see a scum team who let him do that win tbqh)

For Corrik to be scum...basically he needs to actually be Scum Unexpected and have claimed it as town, then not gone after Zyx for claiming Town Unexpected because he was worried the flip would get him in trouble, needs to actually have watching power to have known for sure Zach killed Scare night 1, and probably had his team stop using its roleblocker entirely after blocking Pxl one night so that he could then claim to be blocked each night and it would look legit because Pxl would have confirmed scum had a roleblocker. Explains why they killed Pxl, who had kind of sort of given up, she was the only town power left, however weak a power it is. I don't buy it, really.

The only thing that bugs me with him is the fact that his usual claim shifting behavior gives him a good excuse to handwave any inconsistencies in his claim, like his not having actually tracked MZero at all, since he can just let it be waved off as standard Corrik weirdness. It is weird that MZero would claim to have targeted dowolf when he made his fake full claim unless he really did, since if he didn't it would make way more sense for him to have insisted he didn't and hope it made Corrik admit to lying (or convince others to think that way, at least). If Corrik is scum that could have been some sort of gambit to make him look good, but since MZero was Usurper we can safely say he wasn't intending to get lynched, so Corrik being out for blood on him doesn't fit as scum wanting to make sure Operation Lynch MZero went off. Plus his behavior fits with how he thinks his role works, and if he were scum town would maybe be a bit light on power, depending on exactly what Zyx's Unexpected role actually did.

idk I can see the scenario for him being scum, but it strikes me as really unlikely. Like you I read him as scum from early on (I think I was leaning that way before you were even in the game Ashe) but since then his behavior has made a lot of sense with what he claims his role is, the role seems to make sense (if two identically named roles were something Blade wouldn't even consider, I feel like Chris would have brought it up, he seemed confident he could figure out what Blade would or wouldn't think was fair game for a meta trap)...I've thought about it quite a bit but I always keep coming back to it seeming a lot more likely that he's town.

Basically, for you guys, I can't see how it makes sense for me to be scum past the roleblocks. Night 1 is the only night missing a roleblock, which let's be honest they probably roleblocked chris or red. If they roleblocked Chris, he claimed a "scan" the day after the block so they knew he was full of shit and was vanilla.

Or they roleblocked red who they killed the next night anyways. I'd venture to guess they probably roleblocked chris.

Then they roleblocked pxlated who I believe was unclaimed at that point yes? Why didn't they roleblock me? Well, they were probably trying to roleblock the doctor. Based on the fact they killed red? It actually looking at it now is a bit weird why they didn't roleblock me there, but alas, they didn't. Then they roleblocked me. I reveal I am only vanilla. Chris was the only one smart enough to realize my colzach thing couldn't have been me as vanilla (who luckily was town). So, they believed me and didn't roleblock me.... (also an aside, once I renounce my claim, Mzero claims a claim which basically couldn't have existed with me as power which led for me to rail for his lynch.

Roleblocked pxlated again who basically they assumed might be a doctor power maybe... medical examiner? maybe. Hard to tell what they thought.

I claim my scan on mzero (ps: zyxyz was probably a protection type unexpected while I am an investigation type. Otherwise, town was low on protection... or we can both do both and I just been roleblocked too much to realize it... I actually thought I was able to do protection stuff also hence my continuing to target who I thought the nightkills would be).

Then I am roleblocked ever since.

All roleblocks are accounted for besides night 1. There is no overlap anywhere. I can't see how that alone doesn't pretty much clear up the game regarding me. Fuck the mzero shit.

Unless, I guess I am scum and surmised there was no more power despite the fact town had a severe lack of power without me as town and then we stopped roleblocking for the giggles what since night 3 (bar night 4) just to make me look good later on? Which if the case, why did we even roleblock pxlated night 4 if we alrdy surmised that?

I just think looking outside my own shoes that should make the situation here obvious.

But, maybe I am just tooting my own horn here.
