You're fine with "wasting" 2 grand but don't wanna spend $1300 for stuff you need, I think is what he's trying to say.

When I went to Vegas I pretty much had endless money so $2000 wouldn't have done shit for us but for one person I think that would be plenty. Just give yourself a betting limit and never go under, or if you lose it all quit for the rest of the trip.

Do you gamble often? You should be getting basic free rooms for gambling only a few hundred dollars.

That's $1050, the rest is allocated to food, alcohol, and gambling. I always overestimate my budgets, to be honest I'd probably eat cheap junk food, pregame liquor, and not ever gamble if I can help it

That is really expensive, but if you've got the money to burn then go for it. For me it was

$250 flight (Delta)
$200 room Planet Hollywood (2 beds divided three ways though; total was $600 for three nights - the girls shared the bed though so I still got my own bed)
$60 for Wickedspoon buffet + unlimited drinks
$100 show
~overestimating for sure but another $300 for food and booze

I literally don't know what else other than food and gambling went on. We got into Omnia Nightclub for free because I went with two hot chicks and they were able to get me in for free as well.

But yeah, $950 for three great nights is what you should be running. Granted I got lucky because I got a two person room split three ways. But still. $2000 is way high,

Honestly I want to save hard now so I can live an easier life starting in my 30s. If I have a shitload of money sitting in my retirement accounts now it will grow for my entire life and I can spend more in my 30's/40's/50's worry free.

I can only speak for Ceasars Entertainment properties (Planet Hollywood, Ceasars, Harrahs, Paris, Ballys, etc.)

It's probably harder to get rooms at Encore/Wynn and Ballagio.

It mostly depends how long you're actively gambling and your bet size.

That's worth it, then. Don't be afraid to gamble. There's a fair chance you could win hundreds from that $1,000 bank roll---but only if you actually know how to play the games.

I am always afraid to gamble. The only game I play is poker and I'm not half bad, in fact I've won much more than I've lost, but when I sit down at a table I assume the money is gone forever.

I only play $1/$2 blinds though so it's not that expensive. I don't think I would ever do $2/$5.

Study a strategy card for Blackjack---it's not a bad game. Craps is also a good game to play, too, but can be a bit intimidating for new comers and it can be a bit more expensive to play than Blackjack. For craps, this website is a wonderful guide (http://www.crapspit.org/how-to-play-craps/). Be sure to check out the craps bets tab and craps math tab as well.

And be sure to get a players card and always hand it to the dealer so you can benefit from your play. Depending on which casino you're at, free rooms aren't too far out of reach (for your future trips)
