In reality, the biological definition of sex via sex chromosomes is not sufficient. Reality is much more complex than that, and it's probably much more realistic to talk about sex typical phenotypic characteristics than to binarize on the basis of sex chromosomes. However, how do we identify sex on a day to day basis 'psychologically'? We typically rely on things like secondary sex characteristics. I'd really prefer people to get beyond these forms of diversity that are more shallow and biologically rooted, so we can discuss people on a psychological level based on desires and motives.
