you are at a busy bar and you with your honey. they are playing nickelback and your honey says can you gets me a beer. you say "okay" and you go to the bar and to get a beer. you literally go up to the bartend and you snap your fingers to get his attention. you say" one beers please in bottled form. jhe literally just hands you a beer with his HANDS and opens the bottle with a bottle opener before doing that. he didn't even put ice on it or add lemon slices. "what terrible service you say to your honey" and you give it to him/her notice that your honey is away from the table maybe in the bathroom? how much did you tip your bartender?

but i rarely ever close my tab out with just one beer on it

1-3$ depending on how much I have and on much I plan on drinking.

If it's a busy bar, after tipping $2 for the first couple drinks, the bartender will remember and give you faster service, also they'll likely give you a free drink at the end of the night if you go up around last call

its his job to hand you the beer. you're already paying him to do his job by purchasing the product. the business marks up the beer in order to pay for expenses (like his wage). how is tipping necessary at all?
