I'm not being sensitive. You're the one going ssj3evangelical about the need for an age limit. There isn't one though, and people will never be able to agree on a universal limit. When friends talk about games, shows, or books, one wil generally speak up and say "hey I haven't gotten to that part yet"

Oh, you're talking about that kind of spoiler. If the spoiler has already entered the realm of common knowledge (identity of Luke Skywalker's father, Titanic's fate, etc), it should be fine to leave it untagged. Otherwise, the age of the work is irrelevant.

That's the issue we're discussing.

One side is that this doesn't exist for media/video games, and other says that the longer you 'wait', the more trouble your asking for on the net.

Uh no, there's no way to truly moderate people on web...yet. The thing about spoilers is that the damage can't be 'undone' easily, yet it remains easy to inflict. That's a unique issue, imo.

Marked TC for spoilers because he didn't warn for the FF7 spoilers. You can't just put spoiler tags and a random spoiler in it. You have to warn "FF7 spoilers: <tag>character death</tag>"

Of course anyone with half a brain would understand why.

I'm talking old games that's been around a good 10 or 15 years longer.

If you put random spoilers under your spoiler tags at least put the game first and not the spoiler.
If I havent played the game I do not read the whole thing. But if you start with the spoiler it is already too late.

This is a bad argument and you should feel bad. Especially in this day of binge watching. A lot of people intentionally wait until an entire season is available and watch it all at once.

Also, a lot of people don't have time to go see every movie they want to see in theatres. I still haven't seen Infinity War, Deadpool 2, or Ant Man and the Wasp despite really wanting to. My work schedule has pretty much prevented it... Yay working in BBQ in the summer. -.-

No. The spoiler tag is easy as hell to use, so just use it.

Alternatively, there could be a "Spoilers" flair since the flair system honestly sucks it would be cool to have an actual flair for an actual clear purpose (taking a jab at the community flair in the PS4 board). :)
