Almost every time I see someone's Internet browser, they always have a shit-load of tabs open.

Yeah it's fucking crazy. Even in my work browser I make it a point to cap out at 10 unless something I'm doing requires more. Even then, I make sure to finish up with as many tabs as I can so I can clean it up.

It depends on what you consider "a lot"

I have a lot of sites I typically revisit but I also have a problem with forgetting to close new links that are no longer relevant to me

What's wrong with that? I've trained my sites to reboot before ever putting in a ticket. That cut tickets down significantly.

What constitutes a lot? I usually have like 4 or 5 open. One on it's own monitor for whatever I'm watching (netflix//youtube/twitch) and then 3 or 4 usually for the sites I frequent (mostly message boards). Only time I go larger is when I'm doing work and have several different sites I want to grab information from at a time.

honestly not that bad. i could cut back on 1-2 or two tabs, but i frequently use them all

All of them, except for the first one are either done or channels.

You keep the channel open so you can browser whatever video you want.

It's usually worse when I have like 8+ pages of gamefaqs nonsense open, but I learned to kill that habit.

I have bad memory, so multiple tabs is a good thing for me.

It's no biggie for me. That's just my justification. There's obviously a few days where I'm lazy and the tabs are a mess, but in this case there's rhyme and reason to what I'm doing.

I don't know about everyone else though.

if you have a bad memory watch later list is the optimal way to keep track of videos. going back and forth between several tabs, you're going to forget what you wanted to watch at some point.
