Pros: lots of OT.
Working in a building with excellent climat control when the outside heat index is 100+ degrees.
And less people to deal with since more than half the regular staff is on vaca.

Cons: limited time to spend with my family, especially my 6 yr old who wants to hang out with daddy and play games.
Not much sleep.

DOT regulation is no more than 12 hours in a day and one 24 hour stretch of no on-road for every 6 days worked sequentially, so 60+ hours is technically legal...though fucked up and dangerous, agreed there.

That said, I know where I work any time spent driving on property doesn't count toward DOT hours, so we've done shit like send guys that have already been driving for 12 hours on property out for a shift on-road after just because we can.

Also, I'm working lots of OT, too. Have been for months now. Only day off is Sunday, but that's only because we're closed. We got our days off taken away when the first guy was fired. And after another was fired, another was hired and quit within two weeks, and another was fired, I started coming in 1.5 hours earlier. Even now with the new guy, we still do it. And the hours are anywhere from 8-12. Normally more than 8. So out min-max hours are about 48-72. Though, 60 is a better average for us, I think... Then there's the weekends where I work on base. Which means I get Saturday from my other job off. But in exchange, I work both Saturday and Sunday on base. Which means that every month, I wok 13 days straight. That's not fun... Though, I like getting money, so...

Arv thinks its asinine for anyone to work 60 hours a week. big damn deal arv goes to work 80 hours a day on xbox and still works 60 hours a week.

Just got offered a few hrs of side work for Sat night. That puts me at an even 70.
I might be dead when I finally get a day off on Sunday but my next check will certainly brighten things up.

How are the taxes on that? I think I've heard once you go over 45 hours, then you get taxed even more. Maybe it's the pay amount.

Yeah the taxes will be a bigger bite than normal. I could adjust my SRA % to offset it but whatever.
