Also I was a backer for Road Redemption but still haven't gotten around to playing it. Or when your wreck too many times and if you go back to your bike it will explode, so you just run the rest of the way to avoid the repair fees. If it's just a cop though you can run forward for a while and the bike will be dragged along behind you since there's an enforced maximum distance between the bike and the rider, and you can use this to drag it far enough ahead of the police that you can go back to it. I remember there being an on-foot punch button in some of the games but it didn't really do anything.
