If you only played the first 2 numbered games as you claims, then there is no way you encountered the batshit part yet.

Anyway troll topic aside the real answer is because the story ended after KH 2, but realizing the cash cow kh could be, nomura decided to quickly come up with more bullshit on the fly which led to the garbage birth by sleep and its 3 "new" protagonists. Then 2 or 3 years later he just gave no shits whatsoever and thought, now hear me out, it was time travel the whole time. But not back to the future style. DDD style.

KH1 and CoM's story/writing were solid enough. KH2's writing was when everything went full shonen with an added poor attempt to make things deep/complex, I blame Nojima more than Nomura for this though. KH2 was still passable, but after that it went full blown "LOL what is this schlock?". It isn't even confusing/hard to understand, it's just extremely hard to take seriously or give a shit about it anymore.

I think you're confused over what batshit means. Usually batshit is reserved for when something is completely batshit, like "wow that situation was batshit" you see what I mean?

The organization 13 were just "sigh this is so obviously for teen kids with those silly black robes and animeistic hairstyles" type of material. And tryhard stuff for teenagers is usually the kind of thing that ages the worst since only teenagers will like it, while family friendly stuff for all ages can be enjoyed by all ages no matter what, because it doesn't feature that silliness that will repel adults. It's silly but not unlikably so. But apparently after bbs it got so unlikable, and I already found bbs unlikable crap which is when I stopped following the series. Wow that was 8 years ago, and kh2 is 12 years old? God, damn.
