The recent update (which is the base version for platforms other than PS4) has supposedly tweaked the physics a bit, in a way that makes that level and its sequel much easier.
It's kinda annoying to those of us who got the platinum relics on both, without walking on ropes at all, on the original versions... but at the same time, I agree those levels were a bit too extreme before. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
