At best you get into some un paid internship or job referral program that wrings you around circles without actually helping you get employment.

No wonder why people remain homeless/NEET

99% of the time people with the same opinion as TC are the same ones that say "Pfft, i'm not working some fast food minimum wage job" and act like they are above starting rock bottom to gain experience. ANY experience is better than no experience, even if you have to bag groceries for 2 years making $7.50 an hour, it shows that you are capable of getting a job, staying at a job for an extended period of time, and create a positive reference if you show up on time, are reliable, and perform well on the job.

Lower your standards, because jobs exist that don't care if you have no experience and are there to get your foot in the door and into the working bracket of the world.

takes two things: preparation and connections ... seriously

connections help you get an opportunity. but when you show up, you better be on your A game. think of it like a free agent in a sport, except there's millions of competition in the work force instead of dozens. you want the guy that's been working out like he's professional when he's not even playing. not the guy who isn't ready to go and hasn't studied up.

when you get that shot, you gotta be prepared. if you're not, then you won't get anything.

If stuff you did in college/university is what you're trying to get a job for, you can use it as relevant work experience.

Create yourself a portfolio of school projects, especially your capstone, if that's in the correct field.

Don't lie and say you were employed somewhere, but some employers will look on your work favorably. Of course some won't.
