I remember doing this without a guide. Back then there were rumors that you unlocked Yoshi or Luigi, but all you got was extra lives. So disappointing. This is why the N64 lost the console war

The collectables are usually trash and not worth doing in games.

Although that said. I kinda miss the days of secret hidden secrets in games before the Internet spoiled everything.

Any mortal kombat fans here that remember the Super Unlockable rumors?

And also that Secret Sonya turned out to be real.

Yeah, at that point, those 100 lives were pointless, since you pretty much did everything there is to do in the game.

It's really bad too because it makes you bounce when you land so it's actually worse than the normal triple jump.

Nah, Mario 64 has amazing replay value. I still play it! One thing Nintendo does better than anyone is platforming.

SM64 is fun and boring at the same time. I'll occasionally get a rush to go back and play it, but then I remember how irritating and uninteresting it can be.

Stop n' Swap would've worked, but Nintendo released a newer model of N64 that brought down the allowable swap time from like 10 seconds to 1 second, making it impractical.

But Banjo Kazooie was coded to allow you to remove the cartridge at that point.
