You know it's not just stick some DNA in a machine and out pops an adult dinosaur, right?

You've got to raise and feed those dinoclones until they reach adulthood. Tyrannosaurs, for instance, took about 20 years to reach sexual maturity and lived for up to 28 years. That's just not cost effective.

Current cloning technology sure. Not sure how it would work in the future though.

It's more like genetically splicing a hippo/lion.rhino and making a super animal that is under your control. Imagine a lion with the bulk of a hippo and a rhino horn. That thing be deadlier then it already is.

"Magically". Just because we didn't have the technology at the time, doesn't mean it now can't be done.

Except that it can't be done now. It's already been proven. Researchers have found that DNA has a half-life of about 521 years. Under ideal conditions, DNA could last 6.8 million years before all molecular bonds are broken. The extinction of the dinosaurs happened about 66 millions years ago.

Has that actually happened in Resident Evil?

From what I remember the zombie outbreaks were either accidents or an attempt to kill everyone on the planet, not because the zombies themselves were meant to be weapons to be sold.

The zombies weren't but I believe the virus itself was.
