I know I'm probably not far in, but Ive been playing about 7 hours and just curious how much I have left in the main game, not including DLC.

spoilers

I am about to talk to the herbalist before you hunt the griffon

How far am I? like 10%?

Just starting still. There's like 2 more large sections to explore. Novigrad and the isles.

thought you guys were trolling me at first...

So the map gets bigger once you beat the griffon?

Ive been distracted trying to go to all these ? marks on the map. Should i just skip those and finish the main quest?

Your choice.

If you do them all now, you're going to be kinda overlevelled for most of the game. (You can use the "Adjust enemy level options", but there are two segments - one involving a fuckload of rats, the other involving a Djinn - that become virtually impossible when that option is on, unless you're at the intended level or lower).

But then, if you leave them for later, you'll be overlevelled for them themself once you come back to them.

Many times larger. You leave that area completely and end up in a massive map where the size of the main city is about the same size as the area you are in now.

Then at some point you have that map and go to another equally large map.

You are about 7 hours into a 250 hour long game if you plan to do every question mark.

Clear the whole first area at least to get the power up things alsi you don't ever have to go back unless is to get gwent cards you missed. Once reach the new map do some ? although some ? require you at higher levels because of enemies being tougher. We aren't lying you're barely at 5% of the game.

The 2 maps on the left are connected as one but they split the fast travel and separate quests to make easier to remember things and to make it feel less overwhelming which really doesn't....

You are literally in the tutorial area. You have no idea how big this game is.

don't go out of your way to clear question marks unless you really enjoy milking everything in an already huge game.

the important ones will be logged as part of quests or treasure hunts you come across etc.

Hah, yeah. I remember looking at the map of the tutorial area and was like "Well, this seems sufficient enough size for the game." And then I went to Velen lol.

Also, I still have no idea what I am doing, started on Deathmarch and just jumped in.

I was getting my ass kicked until I picked this "Gourmet" skill, now it feels like easy mode lol.

If you're on Deathmarch you probably should clear the map you're on for the skill points at least.

PS: If you want the trophy for having all signs active at once, you can do that in White Orchard. It's way harder to do elsewhere.

I'd say you should go ahead and do all the ? on the White Orchard map, but once you get to the open world you can mostly ignore them, just do them if you come across them.

How do you spend seven hours in White Orchard though? >_>
