no. I found out that it's all show. if you look in the fine print, not much is changing. and it does nothing for kids already taken. they have no intention of giving back any of the kids they kidnapped. Trump is using fancy words to fool the country. but really, it's just gonna keep happening.

Nope, it's a poor half-solution to a largely self-created problem. It ain't over yet, and Trump pretending to be the good guy isn't gonna work well, among his supporters and detractors.

I'll be honest, this is pretty much the first thing (the whole separation) that really made me pissed off at Trump to the point at which I was not okay with it, at all.

Yes.

IMO this is the best solution unless you want open borders/illegal immigration to not be illegal. The families have to be able to be held indefinitely (until they go to court), or it will lead to all sorts of problems. Just make sure the detention centers have livable conditions.

When you believe this situation is Trump's fault.

It's happening during his administration, yes, but once again people are mistakenly blaming the wrong person for all of this. Blame Sessions, he's the one at fault for not specifying that border control should ignore the laws that are finally being enforced.

Where do you get that from this article?

The only way this would be stopped is if a federal judge stops it (something similar happened during the Obama administration from what I understand). If it goes through, there will be some problems, but once all the necessary facilities are built these inhumane practices will end.

And a Health and Human Services official said that more than 2,300 children who have already been separated from their parents under the presidents zero tolerance policy will not be immediately reunited with their families while the adults remain in federal custody during their immigration proceedings.

There will not be a grandfathering of existing cases, said Kenneth Wolfe, a spokesman for the Administration for Children and Families, a division of the Department of Health and Human Services. Mr. Wolfe said the decision about the children was made by the White House, but he added, I can tell you definitively that is going to be policy.

I thought we hated illegals and had no sympathy? Why are we now fine with Trump going lighter on illegals?

Anyway, I am satisfied if an arsonist puts out his fire or someone pays the medical bills of the person they assaulted, but does not make the perpetrator less shitty. He still fucked up shit on purpose in the first place. Basic human courtesy after lots of prodding does not cancel out the bad.

Giving someone $100 is a good deed, but not if you robbed their house first. Actions don't occur in a vacuum.

If I said that, it was poor wording on my part. The children are as guilty as everyone else here and should be subject to whatever process is in place. Personally, I'm indifferent about the order.

Part of the role of the executive branch is to determine to what extent they enforce laws.

Also it doesn't change the fact that you were trying to show hockeybub was "inconsistent", but that only matters if his arguments were based on the legality of actions.
