I honestly feel like singers shouldn't be allowed on the "X's Got Talent" shows.

They already have their own competitions and it draws focus away from more interesting performances.

Like, Michael Grimm is a great singer but he could have been discovered elsewhere.

America's Got Talent was cool when it was, like, the "alternative" talent show. American Idol and The Voice were the most popular ones, and America's Got Talent wasn't as popular. Felt cooler to watch it back then.

But it lost that appeal once Simon replaced Howard Stern and more people started watching it.

It's child abuse to make your kid learn Beethoven to the point they can play dozens of songs by muscle memory. Your kid isn't even in kindergarten yet.

Cheering during the singing annoys me, and the constant cuts to "surprised audience member" or "dubious judge" during the visual performances are just as bad.

I loved it the first few seasons because it showcased some cool and different types of acts. Even some of the singers they showcased were unique enough that they wouldn't have cut it on the 'regular' singing comps (such as Prince Poppycock). It's just so repetitive and they push the same three acts to the end, as you mentioned.

This simply isn't true. They DO try to push singers but they don't win anywhere close to 90%. Last year was a puppet shot, before was a singer, the previous was a magician (irr). That's a 33.33% chance. They do put more work into singers though because at the end of the day, it's easy to market and Simon is smart

It's been how many seasons? Those days are done lol. That's, in my guess, why there seems to be an influx in foreign acts this season which I've, incidentally, already seen. Such as sora or that weird magic girl

They should just ban singing, children, performances etc.
Daredevils are fine imo
Exceptions can be made if it is unique enough
Should be 16+, maybe even 18+ to audition. Parents exploiting their child is wrong, but also the child will inevitably be heartbroken when they lose

Yeah, that may be true. I haven't watched for a few seasons. I lost interest like halfway through when literally every winner so far had been a singer (except for the first year winner, who sang, but with puppets).
