Just occurred to me that nobody has ever done it for me.

How was it? I imagine it's different than being woken up like normal

It's not scary after a few times. You can wait it out, or honestly just go back to sleep. I've also powered out of it several times. Unless there are varying levels of sleep paralysis and I've only ever experienced a mild version of it but I don't think so.

yea.

I just put focus on one of my arms or legs to move, and after I've accomplished that, then I'm usually able to move the rest of my body.

it's been happening to me since I was a kid, and that's how I've usually gotten out of it.

edit: nevermind, no; I've always done it myself.

Nope. Gravity has forced me to bite down on my tongue in an attempt to get out of it, though, so that's great.

I've never experienced it. It has always sounded like nonsense to me when people talk about it because im such a light sleeper.

It's actually a great entryway for lucid dreaming.

Starving myself (not purposely) and having insomnia (also not purposely) gave me wicked lucid dreams that made 20 mins of sleep feel like 2 days in the dream world. Then I kept waking up still in a dream. It fucked my head so hard when I finally got out my bed to talk to my roommate at the time I had to ask if I had already talked to him that day

No i'd imagine that would be scary as fuck. Seeing someone walk toward you while paralyzed? Or would the very presence of new stimulus wake you up?

I gotta say though I had the mildest case I've ever had recently. I was falling asleep while browsing the internet and I slowly entered a state where I was asleep but still conscious. I got audio hallucinations in the form of minor electronic glitch sounds. I ended up hallucinating myself browsing CE and discord and eventually realized I was paralyzed, and the hallucinations became more confusing and I got really scared. I ended up waking up I guess from being scared and woke up on the page before I started having hallucinations, proving that I had indeed "dreamed" everything inbetween. Very strange.

They've talked to me but I don't know if it helped me break out. I usually do it on my own. Focusing hard on wriggling them toes, yo.

Does it affect your dreams too? Like I could be hearing the TV and the next thing I know, I'm in an episode of The Office <_<

Neh. I can actually only think of one instance. I was outside in my dream and the conversation was just coming from nowhere. Then I woke up and the conversation was actually going on.

I don't try and break out anymore. I just ride it out eyes closed and ignore that which I know isn't real (even tho if really fucking seems like it)

But the reason I ask is because if you're perceiving things differently and someone wakes you- do you just snap out of it? Does the dark creature you see suddenly become your sibling or significant other?

Happens really rarely now but just the other night, I could feel it "setting in" and could break out during that moment.
