Watching Season 4 and so far they've name-dropped Hulk and Spider-Man. I wonder if they had to actually get that cleared or something.

Also, I don't find this season as bad as I had heard it was, but that may be because I'm binging it instead of having to wait week in and week out.

Eh I'm already on episode 16. There have been a few clunkers, (mostly anything Iris related) but unless it takes a deep dive after this I feel like it'll end up being average at worst.

I never really count Superman references for some reason. It's so generic or whatever it doesn't stand out anymore.

Not surprising. Finales have never been Arrowverse's strong suit. Especially with their penchant for pissing away any consequences immediately the following season.

Hmm..I didn't know who Captain Marvel was back then and forgot all about that.

Devoe was promising earlier on but then they took forever to reveal his plan (like the 3rd to last episode) and it seemed a bit silly. The writers missed an opportunity to making a great commentary on how absorbed and reliant people are on technology these days, but Devoe only said a line or two about it.

They were also inconsistent with his intelligence. In some episodes he's just really smart and in others he's straight up omniscient.

If he can predict all of their actions and reactions, they should have done more that was not the reaction he would have predicted, like when Barry froze and Devoe didn't expect that.

So I finished the season last night and boi, y'all weren't wrong about the finale being terrible.

Very anticlimactic, and that knock off Matrix Reloaded battle didn't help. The effects were still somehow worse than the ones back then.

And I hope it wasn't supposed to be a shocking reveal that Mystery Girl was Barry's daughter from the future. Very blah way to end the season on.
