Fred Rogers was the only person I know that everyone respected and loved, he raised generations of children and was the closest thing to a real life Jesus Christ.

That's the power he had where he just silences a room. Obviously people talk about his show and how great it was (racially inclusive, adult topics that didn't treat children like idiots, giving Michael Keaton his start) but he was a chill person too. He said he enjoyed Eddie Murphy's "Mister Robinson's Neighborhood" which most people probably wouldn't have expected.

In high school we had a writing project where we all got a celebrity at random and had to write about their life history and find one positive and one negative personality trait.

I said (with reasoning why I felt that way) that Mr. Rodgers had no personality trait that I can find in any written record about him. That he seemed to be one of the most kind person ever, and the asshole teacher gave me a D for 'not doing the paper correctly'.

I have zero regrets for standing up for my own personal opinion on that paper and I felt that was more important than bullshitting it. Oh well, she retired soon after it as she probably got old enough to retire, and likely hated her job the last few years of it.

That teacher was an asshole but you should have been extra dickish to her and said the only flaw Mr. Fred Rogers had was he loved everyone even people like you Mrs.(Teachers name) followed up by hed say hed like you just the way you are.
