I agree with this. Six years in a position that's well below my pay grade because I do it so well. I applied at another company two months ago and they doubled my salary when they saw what I could do.

that's when you need to get another offer and get some leverage. don't sit around waiting to be fairly rewarded based on your skills, that's not how most old-school business works. newer companies with younger directors, maybe, but established, old businesses, fuck no

Yeah, being continuously employed at multiple industry relevant places over time is always a good sign. You do have to play the interview/job jumping game to get ahead.
