It's kind of funny that TC makes Fallout 3 fans looks worse and worse with every post he makes. Probably his plan all along, tbh: some kind of self-appointed deep state quadruple-agent 5D operative working tirelessly to destabilize the Fallout 3 community.

I mean, making NV fans look worse, is self-initiating. Just look at the NV to F3 fans being triggered just in this topic alone. So, what would be the point of that? I thought about liking NV when i first played it, but then i thought the amount of brain cells i'd need to lose in order for that to happen is not a good trade-off.

In NV Charisma is pretty damn important, because you can't just reload cheese dialog checks.

Yeah, but CHA is by far the easiest Special to boost through gear and consumables - with 2 base CHA and 34 base in Speech / Barter, you can boost up to pass skill checks of 80 with the right items and perks.

I enjoyed Fallout 3 more because I never played a game like that. It was amazing.

I think NV was the better game. But man.. Fallout 3 will forever be one of my most memorable games. I enjoyed both of them far more than F4

Nonsense. Pong isn't an expansion pack for pong.

Charisma is the most useless stat in New Vegas.
Only two dialogue checks uses Charisma, and none makes a difference.
Corporal Betsy will flirt with you if you are a female with 7+ Charisma, but nothing will happen.
You can play with the Mini Boomers if you have 7+ Charisma to raise your Boomers Fame. Which is easy to do anyway.
As for Perks...
Animal Friend requires Charisma 6. Not having animals attack you is kinda useless. It gives 3 alternative options in the whole game, which is too low to make a difference.
The other perk is Ferocious Loyalty, which also requires Charisma 6. Your companions will ignore 50% of the base damage if your HP is below 50%. I guess it is kinda nice if you heavily depend on your companions, but then you really need that extra HP...
Your companion armor and damage are raised by 5% for each Charisma you got, which kinda helps if you heavily depend on them.

That said, I prefer to use my points in other, better stats. Last time I played New Vegas, I ended with 10 in every stat except Charisma, which got 3.
My skills were all 100 except for Melee and Unarmed, which were both over 50.
It worked well for me, would not change any of it for more Charisma.
