I was using Kaspersky but stopped about two or three years ago. Now I just rely on Windows Defender and Malwarebyes on the PC, SafeScript when browsing on Chrome, and a little bit of common sense on where I browse and what I download.

Windows Defender.

I subscribe to the idea that personal data security is your own responsibility and that cognizance of your networking behavior is what will protect your information. No antivirus will do a better job than not being stupid about using the Internet. Youre much more susceptible to phishing and MITM attacks.

I used to use malwarebytes and spybot. Now I primarily use Linux, so firefox+script blocker and some common sense and I no longer worry about getting infected with malware.

I do have ClamAV installed on a home server but thats more for the email server therein.

i heard that 2 diff anti virus can really screw things up

It actually did while I was testing ClamAV. I had to tell Defender to exclude the directory my mail server was dumping the dummy virus file into so the correct AV could detect it and complete the test.
