Do not give it to a panhandler, all youre doing is contributing to an eventual overdose

I'm the master of the one dollar bill. Well, not really. But you could have a valuable one dollar bill in your hands! chances are pretty rare you have anything worthwhile or worth over face value but they exist.

Some bills have serial number patterns that are valuable to currency collectors. Serial numbers go from 0000001 to 99999999, so finding one of these patterns is rare but I think its interesting so i check every bill i come across.

most valuable bill is #1(collectors will pay several thousand for one in any condition), bills with serials under 100 are valuable, and such patterns like a full solid (ex 22222222) or seven of a kind(33333337) carry a premium as do radar notes(serial number reads the same forwards and backwards, such as my own one dollar bill 69699696). There are others, too that can carry a premium but thats a short taste.

thats why i wanted to know. also tell me the series(year) of that bill. it could be older. those older bills can carry a premium too

Ive talked about it a lot before. I love raiding my cash drawers at work looking for valuables with manager approval. Most dont care as long its replaced with my own equivalent funds.

Todays find was a 1948 roosevelt dime. Made of 90% silver, its melt value is about a buck or so. Small but any silver goes in my stack all the same. Any dime(or quarter) pre 1965 is 90% silver. Theyre hard to find for this reason alone. By default they are worth more than face in composition.
