The only reason the animation of this is so good is because it was a pilot. A whole series would have used the traditional cutting of corners most 80's cartoons used and wouldn't look nearly as good on a consistent basis.

about the N word, wasn't that to make a point? some guy called her a mutie, if I remember right. in that universe, mutie is just as offensive as the n word, to mutants.

Mutants have been oppressed in comics, sure, but that's not real. Nobody's offended from reading the word "mutie." The other one has legitimate real-world connotations.

I get that they were trying to make a point, but it crosses the line of etiquette.

I never got to see the whole thing when it first aired because we had to go visit my grandmother that day. I got as far as seeing all of the introductions and everyone in their danger room training.

I even thought that I imagined the show until someone on gamefaqs brought it up a few years ago. If there were more episodes then I would ve had much clearer memories.
