I can't fucking stand flying for work. I hate handing over luggage to someone else, hoping they don't lose it or fuck it up.

I refuse to fly anywhere unless I have absolutely no choice. I'll drive for 3 days before flying.

actually , getting on plane is not a fun activity. You need to be on time which means getting there before departure , sit in a cramped place for hours without internet (because airplane wifi is expensive as fuck and slow)

Also , maybe he already has families that he felt lonely from doing lots of business trips

We just got a season pass for the son so anyone that goes with him its like $21. Pretty excited about that for the summer.

My degree is in Mathematics but I don't use it at all for my job. I started as a Consultant here but I'm currently the Team Coordinator (what the company calls an Assistant Manager basically).

Oh it's good for sure. I've known I was leaving for a while, that's why they were trying so hard to get me to stay. I don't even have a job lined up yet but I'm pretty confident I can land the one I'm interviewing for on Monday. My current Senior Manager connected me with the program director over there. I'm just so over my current company. I felt like if I stayed, I would get too complacent and never devote enough time looking for a new job.

Oh yeah, soooo... they're actually closing our entire office and laying everyone off lol. Another thing I called months ago. They're offering some people the option to extend/relocate/work from home, all of which they tried to offer me but I turned down. Instead I'm just taking the generous severance package. 4 months of my full pay while I take a nice vacation and hopefully get a new job and start living dat double paycheck life.

The timing worked perfectly, I was already on my way out, our lease just ended, etc.

The ruled that the commission in Colorado didn't follow due process and future cases like this can be ruled differently. In the grand scheme, this ruling doesn't really do anything.

I haven't read it but this sounds about right. Seems like they ruled on procedure and not that much on substance. But the majority seems to have distorted the facts a bit in their ruling, too.

Also, I read the decision today. Some dumbfucks in the Colorado commission got on their soapbox and started shitting on religion saying that it was used to justify slavery and the holocaust so the Court said that they discriminated against the baker based on his religious views.

And then there was the whole issue of the court upholding bakeries denying cakes which expressed negative views about gay marriage. The colorado court didn't properly distinguish between that case and the gay case.

Thankfully, the colorado law which protects gay people was left untouched.
