Lets say you had at least like 2 mil in your bank account, and you have kids. Would you build a mansion? Would you buy expensive cars? Would you spend a bunch of money on smaller expensive items like a high end electronics or high end clothes, etc?

$2 million isn't actually that much money to buy a luxury house without being broke.

So no to both expensive cars or house. I'd buy a decent car ($30k-60k range), and a home that my family could comfortably live in (500K+).

Assuming you have a 6 figure salary too, so it's not like thats all the money you have. It's a realistic hypothetical situation, not your standard CE "heres a million dollars you have to spend it all" scenario.

Cars I don't really care too much about. I've never really been into them and I can't really see myself buying a ton or an expensive one if I was rich.

Definitely not a luxary car and I'd probably only buy a modest house.

$2M where I live could buy you two normal houses. Even the new 1500sq/f townhouses down the road start at $750k. I'd fucking keep the money. Invest $1.5M in something safe then keep the rest for incidentals.

It's not just the money as much as the number of seats. If you have children and you're not making crazy amounts of money, like 250k at least, then I don't think in the real world, your should own a sports car

I'd totally buy something like a Panigale V4 or a Husqvarna 701 SM though

I'd buy a cabin-style home on a lot of land where I could hunt my own property, probably upgrade to a nice truck, and buy some new guns.

I'd buy a building, or construct one. 7 or 8 floors, 4 floors for residential lease, 1st floor commercial, a part for my personal garage, 1 floor to myself, 1 2 floors whatevs. 1 eye candy car, something like a mustang, 1 suv. Then build a bleeding edge PC. I'll give 100k to a friend to invest in stocks, 60/40 should be reasonable enough. The rest will be scattered on some banks.
