I hate how he always gets screwed by life. He saves the day, but then always gets hated on. The newspaper makes him a menace. His superhero duties make him miss his real life commitments and people always hate on him for it.

I know the major point of his character is that he makes sacrifices because it's his responsibility, but geez. Give the guy a break you know?

I was thinking more along the lines of how marvel is just obsessed with cloning Peter Parker. There's literally a main character who is a spidey clone, and he even has his own comic line. There's even a girl Peter Parker. I mean what is with all the cloning in marvel storylines?

The good times come and go. That's just the nature of drama. I really enjoyed Pete running the business that Superior Spider-man set up just recently, and before that, his time at Horizon Labs. You know times of prosperity will always end eventually for Pete, so you enjoy it while it lasts. The pendulum always swings back and forth.

I liked his Amazing Spider Man run with J. Michael Straczynski circa 2000-2006. Well I like aspects of it. He's married, he's trying to build a stable life. He's working as a science teacher. He's got some rough spots, but things look like they're generally improving for him.

Now the super hero plot that runs parallel to this, isn't great. It's not the absolute worst, but it could be a lot better.

I read that up to start of Civil War I, which ruined everything for Spider Man forever.
