I travel a lot and don't bring my dock with me, but I prefer to play with the pro controller. Table top is kind of necessary for that.

It's true, I think their worst offender is component cables for the GameCube. They weren't widely available and they're worth a fortune if you want some now. There's no cheap Chinese copy either since there's a propriety chip in the cables too.

Sure, you can use the Wii instead these days, but the GameCube is said to do 480p better.
